PSP preQursor3

PSP preQursor3 offers PSP’s uniquely designed filters with low resonance peaks for reduced ringing artifacts great band separation and narrow notching when attenuating. All four filters are bell-type filters when boosting and have progressive Q factors.

PSP preQursor3 introduces PSP's Advanced Analog Modelling of preamplifier and filters to make the operation of the plug-in even more precise then previous PSP equalizer emulations. The analog modeling algorithm can be enabled and controlled per instance or globally per group of instances. The latter allows for easy control of the amount of analog-like processing on either selected tracks or all tracks in the mix.

All these characteristics result in a processor that not only sounds excellent on acoustic tracks overall mixes or any other application but also allows you to virtually create the input console for all tracks in your mix with easy and convenient controls. In every usage case PSP preQursor3 will maintain the natural feel and definition of the material.

  • Four bands of parametric equalization: peaking Low and High on boost - shelving Low
and High on cut and peaking Low Mid and High Mid filter bands with adjustable,
    frequency, Q, and gain-following Q values.

  • High Pass Filter.

  • Equalization can be applied to Left, Right, Mid, Side or to both input channels.

  • FAT double sampling: In PSP preQursor3 FAT is automatically switched on for low
(below 50 kHz) sample rates, and off for higher sample rates. This ensures accurate
processing independent of the sample rate.

  • 64-bit double precision floating point math for ultra-low cumulative errors in the filters –
no more worrying about piling up noise or unrealistic filters' behavior!

  • An optional preamp and in-filters nonlinearities emulation.

  • An optional second-generation SAT (for SATuration) option in the output of each plug-in.
This not only protects against digital clipping in software or hardware that comes after
the plug-in, but it also adds a smooth overdriven sound to hard-driven signals. The SAT
algorithm is located after the output level control in the plug-in’s internal chain, and its
ceiling reference level is set to a fraction of dB below 0 dBFS.

  • All actual parameter values like gain, frequency, or Q may differ from displayed values.
This is a typical feature of analog equalizers.

  • A 31-band bar analyzer with optional spectrum curve display mode.

In order to run PSP preQursor3 in 30-day trial mode or activate it, you need an iLok user ID which you can create for free at www.ilok.com, and you need to install the free iLok License Manager application but you don't need any hardware dongle.

You can activate the license in 3 separate locations, each of which can be either a computer or an iLok dongle (2nd generation or above). You can move these licenses at any time using PACE's iLok License Manager software.
